Ingredients in Palmetto Plus have been clinically researched to or may assist:

• Supports prostate health and function.

Clinical Benefits:

• Saw palmetto may assist with the management of medically diagnosed BPH by acting as an inhibitor of 5-alpha-reductase. This is the primary mechanism by which saw palmetto relieves the symptoms of medically diagnosed, benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH).
• Randomised, blinded, multi-centered studies have shown the combination of saw palmetto and nettle may reduce the symptoms associated with medically diagnosed BPH in men. These studies have measured significant reductions in specific lower urinary tract symptoms associated with medically diagnosed BPH, including:
  • Urinary frequency
  • Nocturnal urination
  • Decreased urinary flow
  • Hesitation
  • Irritation, dribbling and incomplete emptying

One particular multi-center study, involving 257 elderly men with BPH, found those receiving a combination of saw palmetto and nettle revealed significant reduction in prostate symptom scores after 24 weeks, compared to placebo.
